Description / Application
Bamboo Charcoal PhytMic is made from bamboo branches, shoots and roots pyrolyzed (carbonized) under high temperatures and activated. This activation step will enable to clean the cavities which are filled with tar during carbonization and hence to increase the adsorptivity of bamboo charcoal. The porosity is about 5 times greater, and the adsorption efficiency is multiplied by 10 with respect to the non-activated carbon. Activated carbon is a hydrophobic material, it is therefore not absorb water but will capture micropollutants and impurities present on the surface of skin. It is widely used as a mask and body wrap to detoxify, purify and detoxify body It is also found in treatments against acne thanks to its antibacterial action.
